I first picked up this powerful proclamation from a minister when I was singing in my cousin’s choir at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Honolulu, Hawaii.

And when I heard those words, they went straight to my heart.

Not only did I instantly appreciate all of the blessings that I’d received in my life, but I also realized that sharing those blessings


Our heads have a lot of experience, but so do our hearts. Thoughts are important, but so are feelings. Can you learn to trust your heart as much as your head?

Starting a new year is always cathartic.
